Resting Peacefully
Tonight Jessie is resting peacefully after a very hard day. Today we cried, prayed, and celebrated with ALL of you right beside us. We read all of your comments throughout the day and felt truly blessed by God through your support.
Her left hand does not twitch anymore from seizure activity. She looks so peaceful.
Tonight we praise God for getting Jessie over the first major hurdle. It is time to begin the healing.

Greetings from Fort Worth and praise God not only for the strength of a 6-year-old, but for the strength and witness of an entire family. I saw your story on the news and remembered seeing Jessie on the news a couple months ago climbing the playset using only one arm. She touched me then, so I went on your blog when I saw her again tonight. I've spent the last four hours reading of your journey, and I commit to praying for you as the journey continues.
This is such a blessing! You must be so proud of Jessie! Praise God and his miracles! Strength comes from within and Jessie has definately felt both of your strength!
Jessie looks great after what she's gone through. I wanted to check one last time before I went to bed. Prayers have been answered. She is in our prayers.

The peaceful sleeping child and the comforting smile on Mom's face has allowed me to see God's grace. Thanks for doing this update for us. Y'all are an amazing family.
It is such a blessing to have you here in Baltimore. God works in mysterious ways and today you have had two great blessings..the surgery was successful and Jessie has touched so many people! Her beautiful heart has flowed to people all over the world sharing her story. We take for granted the miracles of life, the miracles of birth, this has brought the reality of life back to perspective! Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your hardship and your joys!

Hello from plano texas! Is amazing what wonders god works. While jesse sleeps tell her to wiggle her big toe...she will be ok. I was once young on life support and I spent weeks trying to hang on by wiggling my big toe..eventually I opened my eyes and watched my toe move...you are in my prayers.

Y'all have been amazingly strong. Get some rest tonight knowing we and so many are continuing to pray for Jessie's recovery. P.S. I loved how Jessie wrote Texas Tech on the Dr's head this morning, she is so awesome!

God is good. He has surrounded you with what you need for this time. You are in my prayers. You are an inspiration and your faith shows through. God bless you. I pray strength and peace for you as the healing continues. There is a verse in Psalms that says "I will hide in the shadow of His wing until this is past". (My paraphrase) Jessie is a very brave little girl and a delight. Thank you for sharing your story.
We love seeing Jessie's beautiful face tonight. She looks so beautiful and at peace. We are so thankful for God's work today and in the days to come. We are sending you much love from Aledo and the Baseball community. Give Jessie a kiss from us and tell her Coach Thurman says to stay strong!

What a brave little girl you have. You must be so proud. I don't know ya'll but I'm in the Dallas area and was so touch by Jessie's story. I pray for her speedy recovery and that God will give you guys strength during this difficult time. Continue to have faith that God will restore Jessie's little body to perfect health. John Hopkins is the best. I had a procedure there in 2005 and the Dr's are wonderful, but you already know that. Love to you all!
Thank you guys for the sweet peaceful picture. Visual aides help tremendously! Jessie does look so beautiful and we believe she'll rest comfortably through the night and build her strengh. Kristi's face looks rested and peaceful as well. I hope you can both sleep uninterupted tonight and be fresh in the morning waiting for Jessie to awake. I know that will be one TEXAS sized hug! She'll be so glad to have her parents there when she wakes up and you're able to deliver the news of successful surgery. That is the scenario I'm praying for. Rest peaceful tonight knowing that you, Jessie, and your sons are all in the arms of our Loving God.
Many blessings from Aledo,
Tracey and Lauren Britton
We learned of your little Jessie's story on our local news here in Dallas. I am praising God tonight for this successful surgery! Our family will be praying through Jessie's recovery and thanking God for healing her! What an amazing platform she has been blessed with to share the awesome power and love of God! May her life be tremendously fruitful for the Kingdom of Heaven!

Cris & Kristi,
Your baby girl Jessie...Aledo's earth angel...she has taught us what courage, strength, love and faith are all about! God bless you and all of your family as He holds you in the Palm of His Hand and guides you on this journey. We are so happy for your success today. Our prayers and good wishes will follow you every step of the way. Jessie, we love you!

She's looking good hangin' out in the PICU. Her presurgery haircut was so cute. Did she opt for the surgical suite special buzz cut like Sydney? It makes getting the betadine solution off the head so much easier (so Syd tells us). Everyone have a nice night and try to get some sleep now that you've made it over one hurdle. My husband says the corner in the PICU annex waiting room makes a comfy spot if you find yourself nodding off at the bedside and the nurses ask you to leave.
Take care, The Joyce Family
I have been praying for Jessie and you, her wonderful, brave family, since I first heard her story on foxnews.com. I am now following on dallasnews.com and praying. She looks beautiful, and thank you for your generosity in sharing this with us. Your story and JESSIE are an inspiration to us all. We are following along and praying. I am amazed at your strength, and pray for comfort for all of you and quick recovery for Jessie. Love from Crystal Lawson & family in Frisco, Texas.

I just learned of your story today and have read most of your blog. I am so happy Jessie's surgery went well today. I knew it would with Dr. Carson on your side. I wish only the best for your whole family! I will keep you all in my prayers as you progress through recovery and return to your "normal" lives.

What a day you all have endured! Praise God for the blessing that is Jessie Hall! As we left Aledo this morning to run errands, we passed a sign that said “Pray for Jessie.” So, I pulled to the side of the road and told my sons that we were going to stop everything and pray for Jessie right now. My four year old son said that he wanted to pray first and his sweet little prayer went like this: “Dear God, please help Jessie to be strong and make her all well…Amen.” I found it touching that he chose to pray for strength, because anytime Jessie comes to mind I think of her as having strength beyond her years. Your family’s strength and unwavering faith is truly an inspiration. May God give you all continued strength throughout the recovery process.

You recent blog pic of Kristi and Jessie resting says it all...
"it is well with my soul"
I give God all the Glory, Honor and Praise, for all the miracles he has already done, for the healing he is doing now in Jessie and for the unimaginable future he has in store for your beautiful pink princess. Look at how many people your girl has drawn in to pray. Isnt' it so awesome that God can take what was meant for harm???!!!
Keep standing firm on His word, never wavering, keep your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord first and the blessings will continue to outpour on your family and our community!
Stand on Jessie's Scripture
Jer. 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you [Jessie], declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (an amazing future for sure!)
Our prayers will be to continue to keep you under His wing of love and surrounded your family with a hedge of protection. And for Jessie's miraculous healing and rehab success that will happen above and beyond all we could hope for or imagine. Many prayers will follow in the hours, days, weeks and months to come.
God Bless Dr. Ben Carson and his team for their dedication, patience, love, compassion, skill and mostly for their faith in a healing God.
Hugs to y'all, praying sweet slumber for y'all and for all your intercessors who are drained from travailing.
Love,

God we praise you and life you up! Thank you for the nationwide blessing of the Hall family - they are proof that "...we can handle all things through Christ who strengthens us...!" Cris & Kristi - PRAISE THE LORD!!! It is such a blessing for us (strangers) to see the picture of Kristi & Jessie tonight. I can not even begin to imagine how YOU must feel. Just know that the praying will NOT cease for we are to seek God daily, minute by minute - always! He has such magnificent things in store for all of you and I think they begin with that beautiful little girl of yours. don't ever lose sight of the One who brought you this far...
"When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you..."

Thank GOD for His love for without it we would have nothing. Praise you LORD for your blessing in little Jessie. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers for that beautiful little smile to be back here in Texas.
God had nothing to do with this it was a miracle of medicine.
The "miracle of medicine" is indeed a blessing from God and from what I have heard from Dr. Carson he will attest to that! God's hand was there every step of the way guiding the medical team and providing the strength to all who needed it. God has provided Dr. Carson with such a gift beyond medicine. He is another one of Jessie's angels. For the announcement of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to come during Jessie's surgery must have been another sign from above that you made the right decision and that Jessie is in the right hands.
Cris and Kristi, you two are amazing. How brave, humble, kind and unselfish you have been to share this struggle with the Aledo community and beyond. For you to have taken the time to update the blog throughout the surgery is unbelievable to me. I cannot imagine having such presence of mind and grasiousness in the midst of such a terrifying event. But for months you have been sharing this story and creating the extended family God wants us all to have--the world! God is definitely working through you all. Thank you for the wonderful and humble example you are setting.
What a blessing to see the peacefulness in both Jessie and Kristi at long last. Thank you for that too.
God is Love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him.
I have long felt that we can get through anything with love and prayers...don't you guys personify that! It brings me such a smile to read of all the love and prayers that have been wrapped around you today. May God continue to bless you so!
With my love and prayers,
Kathy Williams
I hope your daughter will get 'back to her old self' before long. She is very lucky to have such great parents.
I will pray to God to help her heal quickly.
I just wanted to let you know that we all have been praying for Jessie and your family! Johns Hopkins and Dr. Carson are miracle workers. I know from my own personal experience when I was born with my intestines outside in 1982!...they saved my life and now they saved Jessie's!...God Bless!

I am so happy that everything went well. Jessie has been in my prayers since i first heard of this operation. May god bless Jessie and her wonderful family and friends. She really touched me with her strength and happy nature. I know how you feel. The doctors at Johns Hopkins saved my son's life at the age of 6 months old with open heart surgery. You have the best in the world taking care of your precious miracle. My prayers will continue always with Jessie for a wonderful and full life.
So sorry your family has had to go through not only the scare of a dreadful disease but the reality of it. Jesse has been so brave and positive. This is a true testament of your parenting. Her story has been an inspiration and makes me feel a little foolish for my own intolerance of small issues in my own life. Stay strong. The world will continue to watch, hope, learn and pray.
Prayers are being sent up for Jessie by so many people near and far. I pray for her continued recovery and strength for the family. Jessie is such a brave little girl and many people have learned much from her story and very existence. God Bless you Jessie.
Keep up your strength. We're all pulling for you down here! Can't wait to see Jessie at baseball again!
May God watch over you while you sleep and Angels keep your dreams.

Good Morning Hall family!!! Sheesh, my eyes are welling up right now as I am typing. What a day you all have had. I was in and out all day (yesterday) checking your blog and watched Channel 13 last night at 11. What a relief for this day to be over. Jessie is on the way now to recovery and such a wonderful and fulfilling life! We have been very busy with softball/baseball up here in Harford County (MD), the All-Star games and now travel is league starting up. It seems that every time I am at a game, I am reminded of Jessie and your softball team at home in Texas. How amazing that a little girl from Texas has captured our hearts and prayers are being agreed upon all over the world for her - it is awesome. Stay strong, Jessie is on her way!
Hugs!

Greetings from Baltimore. I heard that Jessie was here at Johns Hopkins and I was praying that everything would go well for her. I will be wearing pink to work today in honor of Jessie. She's an extraordinary little girl and I feel we've all come to know her through her story. Keeping your family in my prayers. God Bless you all!

YOU GO GIRL !!!!
Let your spirit soar......
I'm so glad all is going well with Jessie.I will continue to think and pray for you all.
There are already so many miracles surrounding Jessie, the Hall's, how well this surgery went and I know many more will follow in her rehab, recovery and life.
This surgery (and many others) are miraculous, and I firmly believe our miraculous God brought Dr. Carson and his staff, Godly virtues and attibutes like love, peace, faithfulness, wisdom, sound judgement, discernment and knowledge while also guiding the hands involved skillfully. And I believe God can give visions as well, whereas Dr. Carson was a tool used by God, given a creative solution to a disease. Thanks be to God he received the vision from our Lord!!!
Prayers continue faithfully on your behalf! Has a day, blessed beyond measure!
With Hugs and Love from Aledo, TX
What a wonderful picture. Her color looks good and Kristi looks so relieved. We know you have weeks of work ahead, but with this major hurdle over, the rest will not be so bad. God does work in wonderous ways. Give Jessie hugs and kisses from Aledo and from Stuard.

Jun 12 - Play to Win
from www.kcm.org- Daily Devotional
"Who is he that over cometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"
(1 John 5:5)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've often heard people say, "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game." That's nonsense. If you play the game right, you'll win!
Any coach will tell you that part of playing the game right is having a winning attitude. That's what God wants us, as believers, to have. He wants us to have so much faith in Him that we expect to whip any obstacle the devil brings our way. He wants us to expect to win at the game of life.
We don't always come by that attitude easily. We're so accustomed to losing that we have to totally change our way of thinking if we want to have a winning mind-set. In Ephesians, the Apostle Paul told the Church to renew their minds. They needed to change their attitudes, to renew their minds to the fact that Jesus has overcome the world.
If you haven't already, you need to do that too! You need to develop a glorious sense of confidence that says, "Hey, devil, I'm going to be victorious and there's not a thing you can do to stop me!"
"But, Brother Copeland, you don't know the kinds of problems I'm facing."
I know I don't, but Jesus does and He said you should "cheer up" because He can give you peace in the midst of tribulation. He said that when Satan comes against you with everything he has, you should take heart because He's already beaten it-- Jesus has already overcome it and so can you!
First John 5:5 puts it this way, "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"
Do you know what that scripture means? It means that if you are a born-again believer, you have an absolute right to be a winner, to overcome every aspect of this evil world. Think about that. Meditate on it. Start developing a winning attitude today!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scripture Study: Romans 8:29-39
29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I have always believed that God always watches over small children, and he has with Jessie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for a very special little girl.

Cris and Kristi, I don't know you, but I am amazed at how selfless one can be to be thinking of other, during what had to be the most terrifying time of your lives. You continued to update friends, family, and strangers who care, throughout the day yesterday. As a father of three young children I can only imagine the anxiety of sending your child through such an invasive surgery. I am so happy to hear that your baby girl is doing well and that the doctor expects great things. Stay strong and turn to your Father in Heaven in your times of need. I send my prayers and thoughts to Jessie and your family and wish you all the best. Stay Strong!
What wonderful news and thank you for the picture. It is good to see her resting so well and that beautiful smile on her face. We have been following your family in the news but this is our first post. Your faith is such a witness to the grace and love of our God. We will continue to hold each of you in our prayers.
We're praying for Jessie and your family. She's a special little girl. We've heard Jessie's story here in Lubbock, and hope your little Red Raider has a speedy recovery!
I saw the TX coverage of Jessie's surgery while surfing the net in Germany. I just finished reading her story on the blog and I want to express my admiration for your very brave daughter and your loving family. I don't suppose you know what you can handle until it's handed to you, but I look at how you are surviving what would seem insurmountable to me and I am awed at your strength and the power of your love. Considering the circumstances, it seems impossible to believe that you can be blessed, but the evidence says that you are. I am sending positive thoughts from many miles away. I will continue to follow Jessie's progress and I expect to see great things.
Praise the Lord!
Thanks for gifts of skill for J.'s medical team and strength for the Hall family.
Boo & I continue to pray for a speedy recovery
While Jessie ordeal and triumph is truly amazing I doubt it has anything to do with God (if even there is one). If God were looking over little children they would never get sick in the first place.
Hey Guys - So great to see the photo of Jessie and Kristi. We are thankful everything went well. Dr. Carson is definitely the man.
keep the faith and call us if you need anything.
Faith, hope, and love -

Hello from Jonesboro, AR. I am a former Cheyenne resident and neighbor of Kristi's parents, Gary & Nancy Kelley. I first found out about Jessie's incredible story from her grandmother, Nancy. I read the entire blog from the beginning once I found out about it and have been following it ever since. I have been in prayer for Jessie as well as your entire family for several months now. I am now praying for healing and a rapid recovery and restoration for Jessie that will be nothing short of miraculous. I will continue to pray for your entire family as well as all of the doctors, surgeons, and medical personnel who are taking care of her. God has given you amazing strength for this very difficult journey and your faith has grown greatly as a result. To the many people who are aware of Jessie's story, God has really been using Jessie and your family to demonstrate His miracles, great love, and power, as well as the hope and courage He has provided to your family to sustain you through this very difficult time in your lives. It is also very heart-warming and inspiring to read all of the touching accounts about your community, the people of Baltimore, and everyone who has crossed Jessie's path since her amazing journey began. I want to give all the thanks and praise to God for getting Jessie safely through the surgery yesterday. And in the days ahead, I feel that even more amazing miracles will be demonstrated through Jessie. Thank you so much for Jessie's blog and for sharing your family's experiences with everyone. I pray that God will greatly strengthen Jessie and both of you as her parents in the days ahead. May you look to Him as your rock and in turn be strengthened for each other and for Jessie. May He comfort you and fill you with a deep sense of peace and continuing hope about the entire situation. God bless each one of you!
Continuing in prayer for Jessie and all of your family.
