Jessie's Infection Superficial, She's Back in Kennedy Krieger

http://www.prayforjessie.org/

I wanted to let everyone know that Jessie is fine, and the infection was deemed by Dr. Jallo (Attending Neuro Surgeon...he did Cameron Mott's Hemi last year) as superficial and he gave her the OK to go back to Rehab at Kennedy Krieger. Horray!!!!!!

Unfortunately, because of the infection, Jessie's scar on the front of her head is kinda nasty. I've asked Dr. Carson's people to see if we can get a little stitch-up revision to perhaps avoid later cosmetic surgery. This is kind-of against the way that they normally do things, but I think the right thing to do in this case, as long as it doesn't compromise her health. We'll see what happens. - Cris

Wonderful news!!! Again, a great way to start my morning! Thanking God for all of his blessings. A beautiful day here in Joppa (just northeast of Baltimore) and I hope Jessie gets outside to enjoy!

Hugs!

I have to admit, I was very afraid for Jessie, but at the same time, I had every bit of confidence in her and her willingness to fight and in God!!! I am so happy that she gets to go back to PT. Maybe she needed the break? Are her brothers back at home? Jessie looked like she really enjoyed having them there!! She is so precious. My husband, who is never on a computer, has started relying on me to give him updates. He knows I check in on Jessie every day. We will keep praying for her.

Fantastic news about the infection being superficial. Jessie is such a strong girl that I knew down deep in my heart that she would be fine. I will still keep her and your family in my thoughts and prayers and look forward to hearing more good news! :)

I haven't commented yet, but I have read her whole blog.

I have to say that I was worried for Jessie when I read about the infection. I'm so glad to hear that it is superficial and that she's back at KKI.

Thanks for keeping the updates coming!

Thanks always for the updates! So glad her infection is superficial! Hope they can do a little re-stitch on her incision and it won't be a big deal. It's storming around Aledo tonight. There is a complete beautiful rainbow outside. The colors were so vivid! One was bright pink and my daughter Lauren said it was "Jessie's Rainbow"... We think of you often.

I have been reading your blog everyday for updates. I just wanted to say that you have the BEST group of Doctors working with her. My nephew had water on the brain & was always shaking his body. But Dr. Jallo did surgery on him back in October 07 & he has been fine ever since. He also goes to KKI every Thursday for OP & everytime we're up there I'm thinking about Jesse & wondering if we will run into you guys. Once again Dr. Jallo & all the Dr's at Hopkins are the BEST. I'm glad the infection is not bad.

I am so grateful that Jessie's infection was nothing serious. I felt an immediate punch in my stomach that wouldn't go away until I learned she was fine. I am so grateful that she is back to work on her treadmill, working hard to learn to walk again. She's a tough cookies! I love you, Jessiegirl!

What an amazing relief. I was just sick when I read the blog about the ER and Jessie being back @ Hopkins. Once again, God is faithful and good, always reminding us to keep our eyes on Him. I am so glad Jessie is back @ KKI.

Blessings to you all!

I'm so happy to hear Jessie's infection was nothing real serious.
It sounds like Jessie has had a few
very fun days. I loved seeing the pictures of Jessie, her brothers and the rest of the family. Did her brothers have to go back home? I will keep praying for you Jessie (the rest of the family and sick children) you have really touched my heart. I hope you are feeling better soon. Work hard at KKI, I know you are! Thanks to your Mom and Dad for all the stories and
pictures of you Jessie... I check on you first thing every morning.
God Bless all of you.
