Head Placed at Midline

Great News! Today Jessie's head was turned to midline. (face-up). The tape was removed, and I feel sure that she is more comfortable now. She has said some more words today, but remains heavily sedated. I can't imagine what kind of things are going on in her brain right now, but I'm sure it is trying to figure out what to do.

I imagine a line of ants, and their path blocked by a stick. It takes a while for them to get back on track again with their duties, but they eventually figure it all out again and do it. Only with Jessie, it is with electrical brain synapse firing and connection.

We saw some more movement in her left fingers and toes...but very minor. The Neurologist on call today reaffirmed that ANY movement is more than they expect. So this is exciting.

The most exciting news today was running into the nice family from Mexico City today. They told us that a liver donor was found today and they were so excited. The transplant surgery is tonight. Yesterday, they were so distraught and hopeless. Time was running out. Now, they have hope again. They were so optimistic. Smiling and dreaming for a future that they thought was lost. It was so cool !!!

I'll try to update later tonight. -Cris

You all are in my prayers. I don't know you personally but I feel like I do because I have been reading your blog as well as your family page. Jessie is an amazing child. My days are revolving around your posts. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. I used to live in Aledo but now I live in Fort Worth. There are so many people praying for you and pulling for you.

What FANTASTIC news! I have been praying all day hoping this would happen...PRAISE GOD! #1 ~ I know Jessie must be a least a little more comfortable....that is so wonderful! YEA!!!!! #2~ What a blessing that Darel (?) will get his much needed transplant! I am sure it is nothing short of a wonderful display showing the amazing power of prayer. Since you posted the information, there have been many more people praying about this...just since last night...Conincidence that they found a donor???? I don't think so! I will be keeping that family in my prayers this evening while the surgery is going on and afterwards as well.

I was listening to a song, don't know who wrote it, but it talks about your joy spilling over and when that happens to Dance for Jesus. Let me just say, my joy is spilling over and my neighborhood, church and everyone I meet will know it for I am dancing for Jesus with this wonderful news! Hallelujah! praise the Lord! God is so good.

I am so thrilled. What a beautiful gift right before Father's Day! I know you both must feel so relieved.

What a wonderful update. I know it must be difficult to update the blog amidst all of the craziness...however I am so thankful when there is an update. I think about you guys a lot and it is wonderful to be able to get an update and find out how that little Texas princess is doing. I appreciate your efforts more than you know!

So, with this fantastic news...go Dance For Jesus. I am sure you are doing some sort of dance whether you realize it or not. Go ahead and just break out into a full fledged boogie {heeheehee :) }and let everyone know of the overwhelming joy! I am so happy about this news! Thank you for sharing. I will check later to see if there are any further updates today. If not, Cris, have an amazing Father's Day! I know Jessie will be doing magnificent things soon and with such great news today, I expect tomorrow could very well blow us all away.

Keep your faith. You guys are doing an incredible job focusing on the Lord and supporting other families there that are struggling! Way to go!

As always, lots of sunny thoughts and big Texas hugs and kisses are being sent your way!

Continuing to pray for Jessie and the entire Hall Family.....

Kristi, Cris and Family:
I have continued to keep you and the others you mention in my thoughts and prayers. Many of us continue to check in daily, more several times a day. Please stay strong in your faith. It is amazing how your faith has grown during this experience. That is not something that happens to everyone when in such trying times. God has certainly been with Jessie, you and your family.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

(By the way, Jack Kenny says that Burger (sp?) cookies found in Baltimore are very good. I agree, but don't eat too many.)

Cris and Kristi

The girls and I have been gone all week and I am just getting back to reading your Blog - although we have kept in close contact getting info on Jessie. I am actually setting here crying as I write this because I have been reading all of your blogs and looking at the pictures of you guys and watching the Channel 11 news story on Jessie.

Tim and Cole were in Waco visiting Tim's parents and they were also seeing stories on the news there - which I thought was great!

You won't believe where we were and when we were there this past week!! Last Monday a group of 82 Middle Schoolers from Aledo went on a school sponsored trip to Washington DC and New York. This trip was planned and paid for in May of 2007. I am apparently a really bad geography student and did not realize how close we would be to yall during your time in Baltimore. When we realized on Monday that we would be landing at Baltimore Airport we asked if we were in Baltimore Maryland, our tour guide said no - we are in Washington DC but you are only a couple of hours away from Baltimore Maryland. Then the realization began for us how close we would be to you. We, as groups, talked about you guys, Jessie and her surgery on our entire trip. Prayers were said - maybe short ones - but still I think we all felt like we were there with you and it was a good feeling.

We flew into Washington on Monday and then we were to take a charter bus to New York on Wed. We left Washington about 11 Wed morning and as chance (?) would have it we were passing throuh Baltimore about 1:30 that day. As we were going through I heard someone yell out on the bus where we were and to say a prayer for Jessie. As I write this I still have tears in my eyes. Ninety-seven Aledoians were within just a few miles from Jessie during here surgery. We were not near computers so we could not check your blogs but Rebecca Buchanan (kindergarten teacher from Stuard) was getting text messages from Robin Seay during our bus ride. When Rebecca told us that the surgery was over and it went well there weren't cheers but more of sighs of relieve and alot of prayers once again.

During our stay in Washington and New York we toured beauitful churches and cathedrals and we even had students lighting candles and saying prayers for not just Jessie but your beauitful family also.

When I see you on the news I can't help but look at your and Cristi's faces and see the worry in your eyes. My thoughts and prayers will continue for you.

I know it will be a long rehab and recovery but I am just so relieved and happy that Jessie is doing so well!!

I have never posted a comment before so if it is like phone messages I will probably get cut off. So I will just end now and say we love you, you are in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything we can do please call us anytime - day or night.

We love you guys.

It is funny how life works. One day you think nothing will go right, and the next, hope is restored. I am happy to hear that today was one of the hopeful ones. It sounds like Jessie is displaying her fighting spirit. Way to go Jessie!! I continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care,

Dear Cris and Kristi,

I'm so excited to see God's hand on you! For you to have strength to pray with others there in PICU speaks VOLUMES and it's such a testimony to me (and many others reading and watching) of God's love and the Spirit's annointing on you. I will be praying for you and others in PICU there and also praying for those here at Cook's Childrens in Fort Worth. Thank you for keeping us posted so we know how to pray specifically for you and others around you. Jessie has a pretty good sized prayer bowl. Know that so many people around the world are continuing to pray so that her prayer bowl will fill up and overflow to pour out His blessings.

On Wed. this week, Fireman Bob(www.yellowfiretruck.com) will be taking his even MORE PINK-ed out Firetruck to the Parker County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo Parade! We'll be sure to take some pics for you.

Today's daily devotional at www.kcm.org is so fitting:

Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
