Surgery Update

Jessie was in a great mood this morning. Laughing and being a kid. The assistant surgeon, Dr. Hsu, came in and asked Jessie if he could write his initials on the right side of her head. This to ensure that the correct side is removed. She replied "OK ! Can I write on your head?" He was a good sport and said OK. She wrote on his forehead in large letters. "Texas Tech". She's our little Red Raider.

Surgery began a few minutes ago.

We said a long prayer and now we'll wait. I'll try to keep everyone up-to-date. In the mean time, the news is posting continuous updates on http://wjz.com/ .

Please keep those prayers coming. God Bless You All.

Cris

On our way out of Aledo this morning, my kids commented on all of the pink ribbons and all of the pray for Jessie signs out along FM 5. My daughter told me about Jessie coming to school last week with a new hair cut and said that it was short but very cute. Our prayers are with you today and all the days ahead of you. Our kids are looking forward to seeing Jessie next year in first grade. We are all thinking "PINK".

Lots of Hugs & Prayers,

Dear parents of Jessie,
I know how hard this day is for you. Each minute seems like hours. Dr. Carson operated on my son, Nolan, twice - the first when he was 8 months old and the second when he was 4 years old. The waiting is the so difficult. I am sure that you already know that are in the best hands in the entire world. Hopefully that can ease your mind somewhat. It definitely helped me. I am saying prayers for your entire family.

I can honestly say that all of the love that is being pored out to Jessie and your family is permeating through the airways. I feel like this is happening to my family. To the Hall Family:
Philippians 4:4-8 & 13
(vs.4-8)"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be make known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.; (vs.13) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"!

You have no idea how much your beautiful family has touched my heart. I have been praying and crying right along with you all as we ARE family in Christ Jesus. I was awake for hours last night and couldn't figure out why...I realized the date and then KNEW - I was to be praying for Jessie, for the surgeons, for Jessie's brothers and grandparents and you too Kristi and Cris! God loves you all very much and is holding you in His hands.
Big hugs and many prayers from Colorado!

Read your families story in the paper.

Wishing you positive thoughts during this time. Hospitals are yucky Jessie, my daughter knows too. She had Open Heart Surgery when she was 10 wks old. She will see more surgeries later in life too. But for now.. she is a thriving, funny, happy and wonderful 2 year old. And you will bounce back too!

Mom and Dad-It is always tough on parents being so helpless and watching their child be wisked away and it is left up to other hands to save them. But it is also a great feeling knowing they are being helped or even saved. Stay strong.

I know you have many people wishing you a speedy recovery and everything will turn out Ok for your family!

Take care,
